The Five Minimal Historical Facts About The Resurrection Of Jesus.

On his book The Case For the Resurrection of Jesus, resurrection scholar, Gary Habermas compiled a list of more than 2,200 sources that have written on the Resurrection since 1975.

All in all, Michael Licona, who co-author the book, spares us the details and gives us the bare minimum to remember this weekend.

5 "minimal historical facts" agreed by most scholars -- friend and foe.

1. Jesus was killed by crucifixion
2. The disciples believed that Jesus rose and appeared to them
3. The conversion of the church persecutor: Saul of Tarsus
4. The conversion of the skeptic James
5. Jesus' tomb was empty

But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(Matthew 12:39-40 ESV)

The Sign has been given.
